Your phone is the mini computer you take everywhere. Heck, you even found a way to send emails from the shower!
And there are a multitude of other cellphone hacks to make your life easier.
We’ve compiled these 5 just to get you started. Know any great cell phone hacks? Leave one in the comments section.
Here are five amazing phone hacks to increase your productivity, maximize your efficiency, and enhance your social life.
5. Protect Your Screen With Packing Tape
You can spend anywhere from $10 to $50 to get a protective shield to cover your smartphone’s glass face. You will obviously want something to protect it from stains, scratches, and — Heaven forbid — a drop to the ground, but you don’t have to spend that much money. You can get as much protection as many of these high-priced shields by simply using clear plastic strapping tape to cover your screen and a razor blade to cut off any excess and to perfectly shape your home-made shield to your phone’s screen.
4. Save Your Wet Phone With Rice
Your phone may eventually end up dumped into water. If it isn’t waterproof, then this can be a REAL problem. Follow these steps and you may save not only your phone, but also avoid a costly repair bill.
• Get the phone out of the water ASAP!
• Turn the phone OFF
• Take the phone apart/remove the battery and sim card (if possible).
• Bury all pieces of your phone in a bowl of dry rice. Leave sit for 24-48 hours.
• After 24-48 hours, reassemble phone and turn it on.
I have used this method 4 times and it has worked every time. Don’t spend money on phone repairs that you may not need.
3. A Bowl Makes A Cheap Amplifier
Smartphones that can play music and video are amazing devices, but sometimes it is difficult to share the things we love because, well, phone speakers suck. A cheap and easy way to get more sound out of your phone is to put it face up in a ceramic or plastic bowl. The bowl will act like a small echo chamber and amplify the sound coming out of the speaker.
2. Photos Make Grocery Lists A Snap
Smart phones have many apps and features that can make our lives easier, especially when it comes to shopping. Next time you have to go shopping, instead of making a list take one photo of your refrigerator and freezer and another one of your pantry. When you go to the store, refer to the two photos to know what you need to buy.
